A few weeks ago @moovmnt and I went for a digging trip to Zwolle. There we visited the cosy recordshop @minstrelmusiczwolle. Where we had a very warm welcome from our buddy @omefunk, who gave us fresh coffee and some nice sandwiches. We stayed there a few hours and had a good time finding records and sharing stories. One of the records that I found there was the record by Robert Palmer “Double Fun”. So please allow me to share this one for this week’s #affordablefunk post.
The song “Every Kinda People” is my favorite on the record and was written by British singer-songwriter Robert Palmer. It was first released on his 1978 album “Double Fun” and later released as a single in 1978. The song is a blend of rock, pop, and soul elements, showcasing his smooth and distinctive vocal style.
Although Robert Palmer had a successful career with several hit songs, “Every Kinda People” remains one of his most recognized and beloved tracks. Its enduring message of acceptance continues to resonate with audiences, making it a celebrated anthem for embracing diversity and promoting unity.
