A new #12inchesofpleasure with a boogie banger from the eighties. Keith Diamond originally from Trinidad was a producer who did a lot of work for the big names like Billy Ocean during the eighties. Under his own name “The Keith Diamond Band” he released two records “The Dip” previously posted by @nastynilez and this one “All Night Rocker”.
The group was unknown to me until @nastynilez showed me both records by Keith Diamond, and I was astonished upon hearing them. It took me a while to find one of them, at a record fair last year in Amsterdam. The price was 15 euro and I felt lucky, because online these now go for three times that.
“All Night Rocker” is a more uptempo track than the “The Dip” and a dance floor filler. When diving deeper into the record I discovered that the female vocals were done by “Toni Smith”, she also did vocals for “Funkin’ For Jamaica”. Never the less, the record is one of my favorite finds that I found in the field.
Enjoy this boogiebanger!
